“My only love sprung from my only hate.”
Romeo and Juliet are two teenagers from the same town whose families have been at war for generations, so long that no one can remember why. One fateful night, they meet at a party and fall deeply in love. As the simmering feud breaks out into the streets, their families face the tragic consequences of blind hate as Romeo and Juliet risk all they have to hold on to the promise of love.
Coming to the main stage after the NC Stage 2019 Community Tour, Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet includes live music and an ensemble of eight actors playing multiple parts. The piece will be performed as it was on the Tour, with minimal props and costumes, all the lights on and with limited seating in an intimate setting.
The cast for Romeo & Juliet includes Josephine Thomas, James Hendley, Tara Whitney Rison, Dwight Chiles, Rosemary Shemesh, Jefferson Haynes, Silas Waugh, and Samantha LeBrocq. With live music featuring Teso McDonald and Lea Anna Bright. Directed by Charlie Flynn-McIver.
