Lobby: The NC Stage lobby and concessions area will open one hour before showtime for your convenience.

Parking: Two Asheville city parking decks flank the theatre. The Rankin Parking Garage is just past the theatre on the same side of Walnut Street. Harrah’s Cherokee Center Parking Garage is across the street. Street parking in downtown Asheville is free after 6pm and on Sundays.

TINA SATTER (creator of IS THIS A ROOM) is a writer and director for theater and film based in New York City. In 2008, she founded the Brooklyn-based ensemble Half Straddle, a group of performers and designers that make plays, performances, video, and music via her writing and direction. Since then, Half Straddle has premiered nine full-length shows and a number of shorter works and video projects that have been seen at festivals and theaters throughout the US, Europe, Australia, and Asia and have won multiple awards.  Tina has written and directed 11 original plays and a number of shorter performances and video works which have been presented across the United States and internationally. As a theater director, she’s recently worked with the Schaubühne ensemble and Playwrights Horizons. She is a recipient of a 2020 Guggenheim Fellowship award among other honors.
