Late one night after closing the restaurant where they both work, Lina and Roberto find themselves in unexpected conversation. This exquisite play with music renders the near hits and misses that are the reality of life for this waitress and immigrant dishwasher as we watch three alternate realities and a love meant to be unfold over the course of the night.
Actors Arusi Santi and Heather Michele Lawler bring to life Roberto and Lina who, guided by director Charlie Flynn-McIver, navigate language barriers, broken hearts, and cynicism to fall in love over and over again, no matter how many times they test fate.
Bottom Line: The modern, musical love child of Sliding Doors and When Harry Met Sally.
Discretionary content: strong language. Recommended for ages 13+
“Imaginative, vibrant, heart-felt.”
