Ben Mackel* (Richard Dreyfuss) Ben Mackel is an actor, composer, and singer/songwriter originally from Hendersonville and currently in Swannanoa. As an actor, he’s worked regionally in theatre & film including NC Stage, Flat Rock Playhouse, Florida Studio Theatre, and as an 8 year resident company member at Barter Theatre. Previous shows at NC Stage include A Case For The Existence Of God, Frost/Nixon, Handle With Care, and All Is Calm. As a composer, he’s had musicals produced at Barter Theatre, HART, South Carolina Children’s Theatre, and Flat Rock Playhouse. Richard Neil* (Robert Shaw) Richard guest-stars in the upcoming Ryan Murphy series Love Story (with Naomi Watts). Other TV credits include: Minx, Entourage, Veronica Mars, Eli Stone, S.W.A.T.,The Guardian, 9-1-1, L.A.’s Finest, and The Kids Are Alright. Film credits include: Max Dagan (with Michael Madsen and Rob Morrow), Prodigy, Knights of Swing, Lost In Tomorrow, Dante’s Hotel (with Judd Nelson), and Takashi Koizumi’s Best Wishes For Tomorrow. Extensive theatre credits include playing Astrov in last year’s Bridge Street Theatre’s production of “Uncle Vanya.” Other regional credits: Kowalski in “A Streetcar Named Desire,” Sherlock Holmes in “Crucifer Of Blood,” Austin in “True West,” Kurt in “Play Strindberg” (with Salome Jens), F. Scott Fitzgerald in “Paradise Revisited,” Biff in ”Death of a Salesman,” and Greenwald in “A Caine Mutiny Court-Martial” (directed by Charlton Heston). Richard has collaborated with video artist Bill Viola on several projects. He is also a busy voice actor, performing voice and motion-capture work in many video games, most notably as Aratak in “Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds.” Richard is a graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse where he trained with Sanford Meisner.
