Class Description
This course will encourage students to sprinkle their scenes with the seeds for success and create competent and more than capable characters. Establish environments filled with functioning elements adn a surplus of options available at arms length. And build relationships where people like each other at least see that the other has something to offer them.
Intermediate Improv reinforces all the skills learned in Introduction to Improv – listening, committment, intuitive reaction, and repetition of patterns – by applying those techniques to more advanced scene work, character-creation scenarios, storytelling structures, and other entertaining theater games. This course will have a particular emphasis on making physical choices and being active in the building of scenes and relationships.
This class will culminate with a student showcase performance at the theatre.
Prerequisite:
Introduction to Improv at Asheville School of Improv (or other accredited improv academy)
